IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carolyn Clamon
Seamans Parker
July 5, 1938 – April 5, 2020
Carolyn Clamon Seamans Parker, age 81, entered heaven on April 5, 2020. Carolyn battled Parkinson's Disease for many years. Carolyn was born July 5, 1938 in Camden Texas. She graduated from Chester High School and married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Seamans. They owned the Corrigan Western Auto where they worked together from 1973 until Jerry's death in 2001. Carolyn continued to operate the store for several additional years. Carolyn loved that she had the opportunity to visit with so many people who came into the store. She could tell you the life story of most of the people from Corrigan, Chester and surrounding areas. She was a true people person.
Carolyn was a member of the Corrigan First Baptist Church. She loved helping with Vacation Bible School because it gave her an opportunity to teach children about Jesus and she loved to help them create art projects.
Carolyn was exceptionally creative. She was a gifted seamstress and artist. Many people in the community have copies of her "Camden" painting. Parkinson's Disease caused her to stop painting before finishing the bottom right corner of this painting. We appreciate Paula Schoenemann for finishing the painting.
Carolyn helped people, some were family and some were strangers. She drove expectant mothers to Galveston for appointments and helped others after the diagnosis of cancer or other illnesses. Carolyn was in charge of the Corrigan Blood Drive for years and expected her family and friend to give happily.
Preceeded in death by her husband, Jerry Seamans and parents, Leslie Clamon and Winnie Elma Clamon of Hortenze. Survived by her daughter, Susan Torrez and husband Larry of Corrigan and her son, Randy Seamans and wife Donna of Rockwall. Carolyn has five grandsons that she loved dearly; Kaylin Seamans, Skyler Seamans, Ian Seamans, Jared Torrez and Mark Torrez. Carolyn has two precious great-granddaughters, Riley Seamans and Reagan Seamans. Carolyn always loved red hair and God gave her two redheaded great-granddaughters.
Carolyn loved her surviving siblings; Marilyn Handley, Rebecca Jackson, Sandra Rozier and Tom (Toby) Clamon. Carolyn also loved her brother and sister-in-law, James and Burna Dean Seamans. Carolyn is survived by her second husband, Vernon Eugene Parker.
The family would like to thank the Corrigan Long Term Care Facility and Heart2Heart Hospice for taking extraordinary care of our mother.
Due to these difficult times, there will be a private graveside service at Seamans Cemetery in Chester on Monday, April 13.
