Funeral services for Cassie Nicole Battise, 33, of Livingston, Texas will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Indian Village Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Keith Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama-Coushatta Reservation Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Cassie Nicole "Bib" Battise, 33, of Livingston, Texas born to parents, Baxter Polite and Tanya J. Bullock, and passed away December 12, 2021, in Livingston, Texas. She attended Big Sandy High School and graduated in 2006.  While attending school she was in active in sports playing basketball, softball, and golf. Her softball team made it to the Texas state finals twice. In her senior year, she was selected for the First Team All-state. After high school, she continued to play basketball and softball in the local leagues as well as traveling teams and traveled all over the United States competing in various tournaments.

Cassie was a member of Bear Clan of the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe. She was the youngest of seven kids. She had a contagious smile and was always laughing and joking. Cassie's greatest loves of her life were her nieces and nephews.  She was a constant presence in their lives whether babysitting or cheering for them at every sport or event.  She was a joy in their lives, and she will be greatly missed.

During her free time, she loved to participate in hunting, fishing, and golfing, and most of all spending time with all her nieces and nephews. She also loved to bead and make pine needle baskets whenever she could.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman Battise, Roscoe Stafford, and Bernice Polite; uncles, Toddie Battise and Ervin Polite; aunt Mary Alec; and cousin, Danny Battise.

She is survived by her mother, Tanya Bullock and husband, Burton of Livingston, Texas; father, Baxter Clay Polite and Teresa of Livingston, Texas; brothers, Patrick Battise and wife, Heather of Livingston, Texas, Lucas Williams and wife, Victoria of Jasper, Texas, Brandon Polite and wife, Shelia of Elgin, Oklahoma, and Delvin Polite of Lawton, Oklahoma; sisters, Shanell Kopaddy of Livingston, Texas and Romelia Kopaddy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandmother, Naomi Battise of Livingston, Texas; aunts, Ethelyn Sylestine and Deanna Abbey and husband, Ross; and uncles, Derek Battise and wife, Karen and Donnis Battise; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
