Funeral services for Catherine Galanopoulos Barfield, age 89, of Livingston will be held Saturday at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Providence in Livingston, with Michael Heuermann officiating and interment to follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Pallbearers will be Jerry Babcock, Jason Burleson, Travis McCracken, Evan Poole, Christopher Pry, and Daniel Zarate.

She was born February 8, 1920 in Manchester, New Hampshire the daughter of John & Anastasia Malioga Galanopoulos and passed away Wednesday April 29, 2009 at her home in Livingston.

She was preceded in death by her husband Milton Barfield, sisters, Ruth and Loretta Galanopoulos and brother, Paul Galanopoulos.

Mrs. Barfield is survived by Christine Shull, sister of Garland, Texas, Susanne Watts, sister of Houston, Texas, Darrell & Sherl McCracken, son & daughter in law of Huntsville, Texas, Greg & Olga McCracken, son & daughter in law of Livingston, Grace & Jerry Babcock, daughter & son in law of Livingston, and Judy & Rex Broome daughter & son in law of Sugarland, Texas, grandchildren, Tiffany McCracken, Darlissa Wilson, Jason Burleson, Catherine Babcock, Travis McCracken, Jennah Burleson-Pry, Chelsea McCracken, Tanya Yufereva and Conor McCracken.
