Funeral services for Catherine Louise Malone Benson were held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Midway Community Church with Pastor Robert Smith officiating. Interment was in the Bluff Creek Cemetery. Cathy was born on April 15, 1953 in Brownsville, Texas to Helen McCallum Malone and Eli Clayton Malone. She resided most of her life in Livingston and was a loving mother, and proud grandmother. She was active in her church and community. One of her favorite yearly projects was helping her family to light Locomotive #5 at Heritage Park during the Christmas season.

She is survived by her children; Jeremy Malone and wife, Kim of Upland, Inidana, Christina Franklin and husband Aragorn of Livingston and Zachariah Benson of Livingston. Her grandchilren are Joshua Hunter, Tabitha Hunter, Tiffany Hunter, Scott Malone, Jeremy Malone, and Raven Franklin. Cathy is also survived by her step mother, Marie Malone and siblings, Becky Donahoe, Molly Andersn, Tracey Malone, Debbie Allen, Matthew Malone and Kevin Malone, sister in law, Karen Jackson. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins held a special place in her heart, as well as her close friends, Alecia Bookman, Dinah Hendrix and June Alexander.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Thomas Malone.

Serving as pallbearers were Michael Hendrix, Steven Lamb, GEne Lamb, Isaac Franklin, Jason ames, Allen Bailey, Matthew Malone and Kevin Malone.

Memorials may be made to the Midway Community Church and the Polk County Heritage Society.
