Cecil Paul Sweeney, age 71 of Livingston, TX, passed away on April 1, 2012, at his home. He was born on September 14, 1940 in Athens, Alabama to parents, Riley Sweeney and Frances Marbery Sweeney. Cecil is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lois Sweeney and brother. Tommy Sweeney. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Melinda Darlene and Douglas F. Null, Jr.; granddaughters and grandson-in-law, Candice M. and Clay Nugent and Lanna Bearden; great grandchildren, Rylee Nugent, Landree Nugene and Jaxx Nugent; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Johnny and Brenda Sweeney, Sam and Nancy Sweeney and Tim and Ronda Sweeney; friends, Judith A. Sanders, Alicia ""Jodi"" Sanders, Cory D. Sanders, Nina A. Sanders and Don and Sheran Walters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston. Rev. Johnny Sweeney will conduct the services. Interment will be held at Bluff Creek Cemetery in Livingston, following the chapel service.
