Celia Catherine Hickman age 95 of Tomball passed away February 23, 2010 in Tomball.Funeral services will be Sunday February 28, 2010 in the Tomball Missionary Baptist Church at 3:00PM with Rev. Steve Murray officiating. Graveside services will be Tuesday March 2, 2010 t 1:00PM in Bluff Creek Cemetery with Rev. Steve Murray officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00AM in the Cochran Funeral Home until service time.

Celia was born August 4, 1914 in Hortense to parents Joseph Matthews and Meddie Ann Warren Matthews. She married William J.B. Hickman on July 27, 1932 in Leggett. Celia loved to cook for others and often opened up her home to friends and family, especially those from her church family.

She is survived by her sons Bryant Hickman of Cypress, Wayne Hickman of Mont Belieu, daughter Marie Vaughn of Longview, and grandchildren Deborah Hawkins of Orange, Mark Hickman of Iraq, Lisa Kuecher of Houston, Kevin Hickman of Houston, Dr. Walter Hickman of Katy, Hilary Adkins of Hallsville, and David Vaughn of Union Grove. She is also survived by her sisters Pauline Powell of Livingston and Rita Gruver of Pasadena, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Hickman, Randy Powell, Walter Hickman, Kevin Hickman, David Vaughn, LaGene Hickman. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Kuecher and Eddie Hawkins.
