IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Edward
"Eddie" Knight
January 6, 1953 – February 28, 2020
*** DUE TO RECENT HEALTH CONCERNS THE FAMILY HAS REQUESTED THE MEMORIAL SERVICE BE POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE ***
Charles Edward "Eddie" Knight, age 67 of Coldspring, TX passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 28, 2020 in Methodist Hospital.
Eddie's sudden death gave him an early opportunity to be reunited with his two sons in Heaven - Brady Knight and Chance Dudley, whom he missed dearly.
Eddie was born and raised in Alvin, TX and was a graduate of Alvin High School. Eddie and his dad, Charlie Knight owned and operated C&E Construction Co. in Alvin for many years. Eddie worked as Foreman for Brazoria County Road & Bridge for years and later served as Brazoria County C&R Drainage Commissioner.
After retirement, Eddie and his soulmate and wife, Kyle, moved to Livingston in East Texas to start a new adventure in their life. Not long after their move Eddie went to work for the Trinity River Authority; his next endeavor was working for Wolf Creek Park, where he eventually retired.
While living in the Livingston - Coldspring area, Eddie and Kyle met many new friends and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Eddie enjoyed gardening and had quite a green thumb when it came to his vegetable garden; he and Kyle gave away most of them and spent hours canning the rest. He and Kyle both enjoyed deer hunting (quite conveniently out his back door), they didn't have to go far, just past the patio...
Eddie never met a stranger and was a good, kind, giving Christian man who knew and loved his LORD & SAVIOR, JESUS. He enjoyed witnessing to anyone who would listen about the love of God.
Eddie was preceded in death by two sons - Brady Knight and Chance Dudley; his parents, Betty Yore Knight and Charles D. "Charlie" Knight.
He is survived by his soulmate and wife of 38 years, Kyle of Coldspring, TX; sister, Linda Knight; sons, Chad Dudley and wife, Susan and Brian Knight all of Alvin, TX; mother-in-law, Oletha Henegar of Livingston, TX; uncle, Jeff Knight and wife, Juanita of Alvin, TX; aunt, Josephine Bland of Pasadena, TX; nine grandchildren: Hailey Dudley, Madison Dudley, Rowdy Knight, Charlie Knight, Kendall Dudley, Marley Dudley, Cody Knight, Abigail Knight and Wyatt Stinson.
Also left behind are special friends who are like family: Raasha Stinson, Larry & Marie Smith, Willard & Kathy Moody and Carl & Pam Bland.
