Funeral services for Charles Wilson Gates, Jr., 60, of Katy, Texas, will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Frank Estes officiating. Interment will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery in the Carlisle Community in Trinity County, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 12:00 p.m., until service time, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas.

Mr. Gates was born March 1, 1958 in Houston, Texas, to parents, Charles Wilson Gates Sr. and Maudine (King) Gates, and passed away on December 25, 2018 in Katy, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Randy Gates; sister, Emily Villarreal; and daughter, Melissa Gates.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Gates of Katy, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Robert Coburn of Cypress, Texas; daughter, Nicole Gates of Katy, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and Daniel Carter of Richmond, Texas; son, Callum Gates of Katy, Texas; sisters, Susan Hodge of Onalaska, Texas and Jennifer Sargent of Burnet, Texas; grandchildren, Jonathan Fisher, Katie Hooper, Xander Feldt, Hunter Coburn, Elizabeth Coburn, Cassandra Coburn; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
