Memorial services for Charles Richard Holden, 64, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, February 2, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Frank Aragon officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the service begins at 4:00 p.m.

Charles was born October 13, 1955 in Livingston, Texas to parents, Lloyd Douglas Holden and Margaret Cecil (Mills) Holden, and passed away January 28, 2020 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 wives and an older brother.

He is survived by his sons, Kyle Schweigert and Joe Anthony Garcia; daughter, Shawna Freman; sisters, Lynn Hilton and Lee Oursler, Jeannette Hogg, and Tracy Downs; and brother, Mike Holden and wife, Brenda; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

During his life, Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy and retired after 22 years. He worked in the Linguistics Department where his knowledge in 7 spoken languages was a valuable asset. Out of those 7 languages, he could write in 5 and read 3.
