Charles Lester Parker, age 80 of Livingston, Texas, passed away on December 31, 2012, at his home. He was born on November 14, 193, in Hortense, Texas, to parents Loby Lufkin Parker and Lola Adelle Smith Parker. He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Parker is survived by his daughter, Deborah Charlene Crocker of Livingston, Texas; four sisters, Ruby Lee Ferguson of Livingston, Texas, Thelma Grace Hopkins of Monroe, Louisiana, Janice Marie Free of Livingston, Texas, and Marline Pervis of Maybank, Texas; two brothers, William Clayton Parker and Roy Olen Parker, both of Livingston, Texas; five grandchildren, Shelly Ivy, Charles Dewayne Harrison, Chris Harrison, Lacey Crocker and Misty Ball; ten great grandchildren, Justin Ivy, Courtney Turner, Zachory Turner, Erin Simpson, Jerrica Ivy, Troy Ivy, Macheighdan Parker, Trenton Handley, Rycker Sampson and Colten Crocker; two great-great grandchildren, Atreyu Ivy and Keland Green.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Center Grove Community Church in Polk County, Texas. Rev. Billy Dool will conduct the services. Pallbearers will be: Kevin Woodman, Keith Woodman, Benjamin Johnson, Michael Cain, Dewayne Harrison, Chris Harrison, Dewey Free, Joel Colston and Tyler Washington. Interment will following the church service at Center Grove Cemetery in Polk County, Texas.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM on Wednesday morning, January 2, 2013.
