Services for Charles Michael Newman, Sr., 85, of Livingston, Texas will be held Friday, June14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Byron Lyons officiating. Interment will follow at Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Charles was born February, 26, 1939 in Muncie, Indiana and passed away June 6, 2024 in Livingston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Newman and Maxine Ruth (Haylor) Newman; and first wife, Darlene Newman.

He is survived by his wife, Sherri Newman of Livingston, Texas; sons, Charles Newman, Jr. and wife Misty Schuetze of Livingston, Texas, Johnny Newman of Livingston, Texas, Kevin Newman and wife Laura of Ohio, Darrell Newman of Livingston, Texas, Mitchell Newman of Livingston, Texas, and Michael "Dink" Garefalos of Livingston, Texas; stepchildren, Rabecca Threadgill of Lebanon, Tennessee, Richard Brubaker and wife Chelsey of Livingston, Texas, Chad Brubaker of Livingston, Texas, and Travis Brubaker of Livingston, Texas; 26 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Newman of Groves, Texas; and brother, David Newman of San Antonio, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
