Charles, 30, of Livingston, TX, passed away on Saturday, August 1 st 2020.
Visitation services will be held on Sunday August 9 th from 5 – 8 pm and Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday August 10 th at Cochran's Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Knupple Cemetery.
Thirty-one years ago today, August 9 th , Charles Brandon Parker was born to the world. He was raised in Livingston, TX, spending most of his time with his loving grandparents, friends, and family.
After graduating from Livingston High School, he enlisted in the United States Army serving as a Private First Class in the 10 th Mountain Infantry Division out of Fort Drum, NY. Charles served for 4 years, including a 13 month tour in Afghanistan, with his 10 th Mountain brothers. He gained several awards for his service including a Combat Infantryman Badge, a Campaign Star, his Pre-Ranger Certificate - opting to serve with his 10 th Mountain brothers in Afghanistan than stay and become a Ranger, and several service medals. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Charles pursued a higher education attending Arizona State University graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Wellness.
Post-graduation Charles returned to Texas with his wife, they later welcomed a son in Georgia in 2017. Charles is survived by his wife, Mikaela and son Barrett; grandparents, Deryl & Patsy Tompkins, Pancho & Veronica Damon, and Pam Damon; parents, Greg & Wendee Parker, Tricia & Michael Parks; brothers, Hunter, Jeffery, Dawson and Ethan; sisters, Reagan, Caitlin, Christin, Katrina, April, and Vanessa; several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends, his lifelong friend, Curtis Simpson and many of his 10 th Mountain Brothers. Preceded in death by grandfather, Eugene Parker.
Pallbearers: Thad Stubbs, Andy Parker, Chelsea Parker, Charlie Gilpin, Blake Gilpin, and Javi Ruiz.
Honorary Pallbearers: Hunter and Dawson Parker.
