Funeral services for Cheryl Marie Watkins Newman, 54 of Cleveland, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Harold Isaacs. Interment will follow at Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, April 11, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Cheryl was born on January 19, 1960 in Coco Beach, Florida and passed away on April 6, 2014 in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her grandfather and a brother.

She is survived by her husband, David Newman of Cleveland, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, James and Erica Alexander of Humble, Texas; mother and step-father, Etta (McKissick) Dupuis and Cooney of Blevins, Arkansas; father, Ernest Watkins of Splendora, Texas; grandmother, Alice Watkins of Porter, Texas; sister, Donna Jacobs of Livingston, Texas; brother, Jay Watkins of Liberty, Texas; sister, Marsha Coleman of Mt. Belvieu, Texas; uncle and aunt, Ron and Elizabeth Wilganoski of Porter, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
