Funeral services for Cholanda Renee Mitchell, age 41 of Houston, Texas, and Onalaska, Texas, will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas. Rev. Ran White and Rev. Cherry Myers will conduct the service.

A beautiful baby girl, named Cholanda, was born in Houston, Texas, to Barbara Hubbard and Johnny Mitchell on May 13, 1971. She attended high school at Forest Brook Senior High School. Cholanda accepted Christ at an early age. She later in life, met and married Darris Myers on February 14, 2004.

Cholanda leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Darris Myers of Houston, Texas; her children, one daughter, LaBarbara Butler and one son, Johnathan Mitchell, both of Onalaska, Texas; a step-daughter, Diamond Myers of Houston, Texas; her mother, Barbara Hubbard of Onalaska, Texas; her father, Johnny Mitchell of Houston, Texas; one brother, Kent Hubbard; three sisters, Denise Mitchell of Houston, Texas, Galyn Phillips and husband, Dwayne, and Ericka Pierre and husband, Jerome, all of Spring, Texas; one uncle, Dan Elby of Houston; one great aunt, Emma Elby of Livingston; two great uncles, Rev. Robert Myers and wife, Cherry and S.M. Myers and wife, Ruth, all of Houston, Texas; her best-friend, LaChunda Armstead of Houston; four nephews, nine. nieces, four God-children, numerous great nieces, nephews and other family; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held beginning at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas, until service time.
