Chom Pok Bunting, age 66 of Carrollton, Texas, passed away on January 16, 2013, in Carrollton. Chom was born on August 29, 1946, in Inchon, South Korea, to parents, Kun Sik and Myungja Chea Kang.
Chom is preceded in death by her father, and her husband, Michael Bunting. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Rosie Bunting, of Goodrich, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Jannet and Jason Penny, of Joshua, Texas; daughter, Jennie Bunting, of Goodrich, Texas; daughter, Laura Bunting, of Ft. Worth, Texas; sister, Soon Pok Kang, of Tualatin, Oregon; mother, Myungja Chea Kang; brother, Kwang Soo Kang, of Los Angeles, California; sister, Sun Bok Kang, of Aurora, Oregon; sister, Kyung Bok Kang, of Los Angeles, California; brother, In Soo Kang, of Los Angeles, California; grandchildren, Sierra and James Reeves, Cody Penny, Jacob Hopper, Mikey Bunting, Nicholas Bunting, Nathan Bunting, Noah Bunting, Jeremiah Martinez, Jaeden and Jalisha Morales, Elijah Lopez, and Aaliyah and Wyatt Penny. Chom will be escorted to her grave by pallbearers, Jason Penny, Mike Bunting, Lynn Penny, Teo Martinez, Jay Morales, and John Kowis.
Funeral services for Chom Bunting will be held, Monday, January 21, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow the service at Restland Memorial Park Cemetery.
A visitation will be held Sunday, January 20, 2013, at 5:00 PM, also at Cochran Funeral Home.
