Funeral services for Clarence "Big C" Settle Payne Jr., 67, of Cleveland, Texas will be held Monday, March 7, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Stephen Stinnett and Tolbert "Buster" Hudspeth officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, March 7, 2022, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., before the service begins.

Big C was born November 19, 1954 in Houston, Texas, to parents, Clarence Settle Payne Sr. and Wanda (McCarley) Payne, and passed away March 1, 2022 in Cleveland, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, James Payne Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Senay Payne of Romayor; son and daughter-in-law, John C. "Bubba" and Leanna Payne of Livingston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Rosa and Blake Bass of Trinity, Texas; grandchildren, Laci Ward, Lane Ward, Hayden Moss and Kayleigh Moss; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Luther Milner of Livingston, Texas; brothers, Ronald Payne of Jasper, Texas and Steve Payne of Goodrich, Texas; nieces, Tracy Hendrix and Kim Humble and families; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
