Graveside services for Clarence Elton "Pee Wee" Overstreet, 86, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Blue Water Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating.

Pee Wee was born February 16, 1934 in Hillister, Texas to parents, William Escar Overstreet and Maggie Lee (Ford) Overstreet, and passed away February 10, 2021 in Livingston, Texas.  He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Weldon Overstreet, Charles Ray Overstreet, and Larry Overstreet; sister, Barbara Foxworth; and sister-in-law, Barbara Jane Overstreet.

During his life, Pee Wee attended church with his family and was saved at the age of 14. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Livingston, but had begun attending Bethel Baptist Church of Bold Springs. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany from 1956 - 1958.

In 1962, he moved his wife and child to Mississippi where he worked as a Junior Observer for United Geophysical Seismograph Company. After returning home to Livingston in 1965, he worked for Reuters Butane Company as a route driver and serviceman. April 24, 1978, Pee Wee went to work for Polk County Precinct 4 Road and Bridge as a maintainer operator and later became a foreman. He worked there over 24 years until he retired December 31, 2002.

Pee Wee loved to hunt and fish in his spare time when he wasn't busy tending to his cows. Of Course he missed many a deer while he was eating oranges in his deer stand. And as for fishing, he was very creative. He set hooks out in his pond, put a large float on each of them, and would then watch them from his porch. When he'd see the float disappear, he'd walk down to the pond and retrieve his fish.

Pee Wee was always dedicated to his family, even as a young boy. When he was 12, he had to ride a horse from Camp Seale to Big Sandy to get 2 small cans of milk for his baby sister, Barbara Ann. He couldn't get more than that a day because it was rationed. Sometimes he would be so cold he couldn't get down off the horse without help. The values he taught his children were, "A man is only as good as his word. If you say you are going to help someone, then if all possible, you need to do it," and "Don't ask someone to do something that you are not willing to do yourself." He applied these values in all areas of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Sue Overstreet of Livingston; son, Morris Wayne Overstreet and wife, Linda of Carrolton; son, Stuart Lee Overstreet and wife, Darla of Livingston; daughter, Janis Renee Howell and husband, Louis of Kennedale; grandchildren, Preston Louis Howell, Ashley Howell Stevens and husband, Justin, Daniel Overstreet, Justin Overstreet, and Lacey Rhodes Voysey and husband, Eric; great-grandchildren, Sienna Voysey and Silas Voysey; sister, Betty Marie Bullock; sister-in-law, Kay Overstreet; and brother-in-law, Floyd Foxworth; along with numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
