Cleo Vaught 85 of Ace and formally of Freeport for 34 years, passed away August 24, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 27, 2008 at 10:00AM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Winky Johnson officiating.
Burial will be 2:00PM in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Center.
Mrs. Vaught was born October 20, 1922 in Center to parents Joe and Clara Belle Fincher Emanis. She was a charter member of the Wildcountry Baptist Church and also a member of the Eastern Star for over 25 years in Freeport.
She is preceded in death by her husband James E. Vaught, son Clarence Eugene Vaught and her brother J.R. Emanis.
She is survived by her daughter Martha Blankenship of Ace, granddaughters Stephanie Clements and husband Harold, Dorothy Goodan and husband Timmy, grandsons Jerry Rivers and Michael Blankenship and wife Christy, great granddaughters Kimberly Hickman and husband Brodie, Tina O?ÇÖQuinn, Cayla O?ÇÖQuinn, Skyler Blankenship, Shelby Blankenship, and great great grandson Ethan Hickman. Also surviving her are her sisters Dorothy Strong, Bobbie Joyce Hinton, Mary Ann Williams, and cousin Telvie Savell. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Blankenship, Jerry Rivers, Jack Thomas, Bruce Bell, Brodie Hickman, Leaman Cain, and Harold Clements.
