Cody Lee Thinnes, age 22 of Livingston, Texas, passed away on December 29, 2012, in Livingston, Texas. Cody was born on October 21, 1990, in Channelview, Texas, to parents, Joe and Lynn Thinnes.

Cody is preceded in death by his Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw, Sandra Hood and Leonard Richardson; aunt, Jena Sue Patterson; and high school friend, Jimmy Snyder. He is survived by his baby girl, Madison Leigh Thinnes, of Livingston, Texas; parents, Joe and Lynn Thinnes, of Livingston, Texas; mother of his child, Faith Gradney, of Livingston, Texas; brother, Tommy Thinnes and wife Myra, and niece Mia, of Livingston, Texas; brother, Ricky Carr and wife Megan, of Livingston, Texas; grandparents, (GaGa) Cora Sue Watson, of Coldsprings, Texas, Bill and Karla Thinnes, of Orofina, Idaho, Robert and Chari Hood, of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Gramma and Mick Jenkins, of Norfork, Oregon; aunts and uncles, Robyn Cyr and son Lucas, Johnny Cyr, Darrell Hood, Billy Hood, Bobby Hood, Glenn and Beverly Conner, Ronald Patterson, and John and Jenay Farley; girlfriend, Alicia Gonzales, of Livingston, Texas; numerous cousins and other relatives and a host of friends. Brothers In Arms, Lacy Wallace, Damon Vessey, Josh Barker, Jeffrey Petterman, Lucas Stayton, Cody Garefalos, and 72nd engineering battalion. Cody served in the National Guard and is an Iraq Veteran.

Services for Cody Lee Thinnes will be held, Saturday, January 5, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow at Ryan Cemetery in Tarkington, Texas. Rev. Don Burkett and Bro. Darrell Hartless will be officiating. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Honor Guard Post #8568. The Patriot Guard Riders will also be a part of the service.

A visitation will be held, Friday, January 4, 2013, at 5:00 PM, also at Cochran Funeral Home.
