Obituary

Graveside services for Corine Maze, 88, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2020 in the Holly Grove Cemetery in Segno, Texas with Bro. Anthony Rhodes officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the service begins at 4:00 p.m. in the cemetery.

Nobie Corine Burrous Maze of Livingston, Texas was born on June 20, 1932 in Burke, Texas to William Lee and Catholine Burrous. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene Maze; sisters, Vertie Cheatham, Alta Wilson, Juanita Guthier, Sissie Burrous; brothers, Robert Burrous Sr., and Mark Burrous.

She  is survived by her daughter, Sherry Maze Morris and Charles of Livingston; grandchildren, Anthony Carroll and Lisa of Livingston, Sabrina Jo Camp and Vudika of Hobbs, NM, Christopher Morris and Melissa of Stafford, Douglas Morris and Kelsey of Livingston, and Elizabeth Morris and Paul Voan of Shepherd; as well as great-grandchildren, Stephen Carroll and Brittney of Fort Drum, New York,  Jackson "Bo" Watson of Lovington, New Mexico, Jase Watson of Hobbs New Mexico, Shelley Carroll, Lindsey Carroll, Keaton Carroll and Crystal of Livingston, Adaira Hickman  and Garrett of Crosby, Jordan Watson and Troy of Kauffam, and Sarah Camp of Hobbs, New Mexico; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Sheila Burrous of Oatman, Arizona; as well as any other great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Corine resided in Polk County most of her life. She was a strong women who loved farming and farmed as long as her health would allow. She was well respected member of the Beaumont and Livingston Farmers Markets. Corine also raised rabbits commercially. She was also unwavering in her belief of Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Everyone loved coming to her house around dinner time as she was well known for her down home style cooking skills.  You never left her house hungry or without something she gave you to take home.  You also may have gotten a dose of her opinion on any given subject of the day. Corine loved her family unconditionally. She enjoyed having visitors and always had a pot of coffee ready.

Corine departed this life peacefully on October 4 th , 2020 in Rye, Tx. while be cared for by her daughter.

The family really appreciates the care Corine received from Dr. Jerry Wood, the staff of 1 st . Quality Hospice, and special friends Jolene Overstreet and Dawn Lynchard.

Pallbearers: Anthony Carroll, Tommy Burrows, Jerry Don Love, Mike Nettles, Wayne Wilson, and Willie Wilson.
