Funeral services for Cynthia Ruth McMahon, 67, of Livingston, Texas will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. John Hirling officiating. Interment will follow at Center Grove Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Cynthia was born January 16, 1959, in Pasadena, Texas and passed away May 6, 2026, in Livingston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, David Carson Hon and Flaudie V. Puckett Hon.

She was a passionate teacher and a cherished friend to many. Throughout her life, Cynthia dedicated herself to the education and enrichment of those around her, inspiring students with her enthusiasm and commitment.

Beyond her professional life, Cynthia was a beloved musician and actor, bringing joy and creativity to all who experienced her performances. Her talents extended to volunteering at the local library, where her love for reading was evident and contagious. Those who knew her were deeply touched by her warmth and kindness.

Cynthia’s passion for literature and the arts left a lasting impression on her community. She was loved deeply by all who knew her, and her memory will continue to inspire those who valued her friendship, artistry, and dedication. She will be missed.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Daniel Clark; grandchildren, Delyna Clark, Anthony Clark, and Benjamin Clark; foster son, Scotty Pierson; dear friend, C.D. Woodrome; Amanda’s father, Emery “Chubby” Johnson and Tonya; extended family, Zachary Johnson and JoHannah Reyes and their families; sister, Karen Matthews, nephew, Travis Bracken; niece, Shelley Garland and Chad; great nephew, Jackson Garland; and great niece, Charlotte Garland; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Zachary Johnson, Anthony Clark, Edgar Grace, Kevin Puckett, Tommy Johnson, and Daniel Clark.
