Funeral services for Cynthia Mae Moye, 71, of Livingston, Texas, will be Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Clint Ferguson of the Forest Branch Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas officiating.  Interment will follow in the Alexander Cemetery in Leggett, Texas.

Mrs. Moye was born February 17, 1950 in Newton, Texas to parents, James "Moon" Alexander and Christine (Bracewell) Alexander and passed away March 16, 2021 in Humble, Texas. While attending high school Cynthia worked at the Fain Theater and graduated from Livingston High School in 1968.  She was a Sunday school teacher for the Fletcher Emanuel Baptist Church in Lumberton, Texas and began her career with the United States postal service in Beaumont, Texas during the 1980s. She retired from the Livingston post office in 2015 after 30 years of service. Cynthia was a Christian Soldier of Christ and wanted everyone to know and love her Lord. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, J.D. "Buddy" Alexander; and sister, Shirley Duff.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas H. Smith and Kevin McCardle of The Woodlands, Texas, John Michael Smith of China, Texas; daughter, Emily Louise Bratton and Todd of Lake Jackson, Texas; step-son, Brian Moye and Michelle of Kountze, Texas; grandchildren, Wesley Smith, Amber Delaune, Brady Smith, Blake Smith, Karly Smith, Landon Smith, Leahna Hickey, Nadia Hickey and Hunter Moye; great-grandson, Mason Smith; sister-in-law, Rhonda Thrasher of Honey Island, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She preceded her husband, Kenneth Moye, in death by one day.

Mrs. Moye will be escorted to her grave by pallbearers, Terry White, II, Trace White, Blake Smith, Landon Smith, Nick Hathaway and Ken McKinley.
