Graveside services for Dana Marie McHan, of Castle Rock, Colorado, will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Jones Prairie cemetery in Leggett, Texas.

Dana McHan, 77, left us on May 30, 2022, with her family by her side.

Dana was born April 9, 1945, in Childress, TX to Ernest K. & Rosie Wilson.  She graduated from Childress High School in 1964. She met and married James McHan in 1964. They returned to Silsbee, Texas after living in several places (including Canada). They built a home there where they lived for 40 years. Dana was a home-maker most of her life, sold Avon, worked at Walmart for several years and at Big Jim's BBQ.

Her personal interests included sewing, gardening and shopping.

Dana is survived by her Daughter: Teresa (McHan) Knapp, Son-in-law:  Steve Knapp, Grandchildren:  Ashley & Austin Knapp,  Brother-in-laws & Sister in-laws: Harvey & Pat McHan, Craig & Shirley Coker, Jimmy & Pam Wilson,  and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents: E. K. & Rosie Wilson, Brother: Odell Wilson  and Husband: James McHan.

She spent her last 2.5 years at Brookside Inn. Before that she lived with her daughter and family for 6 years, after moving from Silsbee, Texas to Highlands Ranch, CO. Dana will be lovingly remembered and missed.
