Funeral Services for Daniel Jefferson Self, age 80, of Livingston, Texas were held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 24, 2011 in the Soda Baptist Church in Livingston with Rev. Wayne Bickley officiating. Interment followed in the Good Hope Cemetery, Anacoco, Louisiana, at 3:00 P.M. Visitation is from 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. on Sunday at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston. Pallbearers are Michael Self, Mark Self, Matthew Self, Mitchell Bullock, Brandon Conn, William Self, Roger Self. He was a retired member of the Houston Fire Department and honors were provided by the Houston Fire Department Honor Guard.

Daniel was born January 26, 1931 in Anacoco, Louisiana to William Joseph Self and Effie Mahale Palmer Self and passed away on October 20, 2011 in Livingston. He is preceded in death by His Parents, William Joseph Self and Effie Mahale Palmer Self and Brothers, Joseph Quenton Self, Odell Self, Hersal Self, Ray Self, Sister, Ida Jane.

Daniel is survived by Zelwanda Scott Self, Wife, of Livingston, Texas, Daniel Michael Self and Suzanne, Son and Daughter-In-Law, of Fredericksburg, Texas, Wanda Diane Bullock and Wade, Daughter and Son-In-Law, of Montgomery, Texas, Sharon Kathleen Conn and Doug, Daughter and Son-In-Law, of Lufkin, Texas. Also surviving are 14 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Brothers Elton Self, of Leesville, Louisiana, Carl Self and Ginger, Brother and Sister-In-Law, of De Ridder, Louisiana, Carline Horton and Billy, Sister and Brother-In-Law, of Anacoco, Louisiana, Lanee Osborn, Sister, of Kingwood, Texas, Faye Carson and Jimmy, Sister and Brother-In-Law, of Natchitoches, Louisiana, Wanda Deslattes, Sister, of Alexandrina, Louisiana.
