Obituary

Memorial services for Danny Freeman, 71, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church in Livingston, Texas with Dr. Don Willis and Bro. James Frazier officiating.

Mr. Freeman died June 17, 2015 in Conroe Regional Hospital.

He was born April 14, 1944 in New Boston, Texas, the son of Clyde Bramlett Freeman, Jr and Helen Marie (Matthews) Freeman who preceded him in death. He had one sister (Brenda) and one brother (Michael, deceased).

Survivors are his wife, Kathie, three daughters, uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.

Danny spent most of his school years in Wichita Falls, Texas where he graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1962. During his time in Wichita Falls he was in a circus and preformed acrobats and tight wire walking. He played baseball and went to the minors for a short while.

A few years later he moved to Houston where he went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. While working for Bell he coached a girls softball team which went to Nationals. After 34 years of working he retired to Lake Livingston.

Danny loved to fish. He and his wife Kathie fished tournaments for years. They would plan their annual vacation so that they could fish during the full moon in the month of February, trying to catch the "Big One". They fished fresh and salt water every opportunity they had.

Danny's also loved his grandson, Dylan, and was the best Papa ever. They would spend hours building anything Dylan wanted to build.

Danny was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a caring friend and would help anyone who needed his help. He will be missed by all who knew him.
