Funeral services for Daphana (Dal) Laverne Densman, 81, of Livingston, Texas will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Marlin, Texas. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.
Dal was born in Marlin, Texas to parents, Willie Jewel and Gertrude Lavenia Springer on October 11, 1934. She was the oldest of four children that were a part of a loving, Christian family. She graduated from Marlin High School with academic excellence in 1951.
Dal with her husband, Robert, owned several businesses during her lifetime. After moving to Livingston in 1974, they purchased a small boat storage business and named it Bob's Boat Storage. Over the years, this business has grown to be a thriving business with 180 units of boat and RV storage.
Dal's strength in Jesus Christ led her through the ups and downs of life including her battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was a member of the Revival Center Church of God in Onalaska, Texas and she found joy in cleaning the church auditorium until she could no longer. She loved spending time in fellowship with her church family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Jewel and Gertrude Lavenia Springer; her brother, Billy Brandon Springer; and sister, Rhonda Gail Guilliams Thompson.
Dall is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert Lee Densman; brothers, Larry Gene and Ronnie Dale Springer; daughter, Rena Gay Tate and son-in-law, Larry Neil Tate; son, Robin Keith Densman; grandchildren, Jason Michael Milliken and wife, Jill Christine Milliken, Nicholas Brandon Densman, Kristen Nicole Densman; great-grandchildren, Rylee Christine Milliken, Ethan Michael Milliken, Molly Jane Elizabeth Milliken, Ella Faith Milliken, and Jensen Charles Milliken; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
