Services for Darline Conger-Jones, 78, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas and will be officiated Bro. Brad Butler. Interment will follow at Camp Ruby Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Darline was born on January 3, 1944, in Houston, Texas to parents Homer Hightower and Essie Cordrell McBryde Hightower and passed away on December 17, 2022, in Livingston, Texas. Darline married William Van Conger in 1962 and the two moved to Livingston. Darline and Van were founding members of the Indian Springs Volunteer Fire Department. After retiring, Darline and Van moved to Alto, Texas where they were active members of the Hilltop Baptist Church. After fifty years of marriage, Van passed away after battling Alzheimer's and Darline moved back to Livingston where she met and married Kenneth Jones. Darline was a skilled carpenter, avid hunter, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, devoted wife, and fiercely competitive family board game, card game and domino player.
Darline is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth Jones, husband William Van Conger, sister Frankie Keeton, and sister and brother-in-law LaHoma and C.O. "Bill" Holley. She is survived by her daughters, Vannette (James) VanDevender of Nederland and Tatum (Terry) White of Livingston; grandsons Justin VanDevender and Kevin VanDevender of Nederland, Trace White of Livingston; granddaughters Kaycee (Christopher) Pruett of Nederland, and Gracie Fay White of Livingston; great grandchildren Brock VanDevender, William Pruett, Riley Pruett, Davis Pruett, Anneleigh Pruett, and Liam VanDevender; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers: Justin VanDevender, Kevin VanDevender, Trace White, Marc Holley, Troy Holley, and Lance Holley.
