Services for Darren Wayne Obe Sr., 61, of Livingston, Texas will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Indian Village Assembly of God in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Aaron Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Alabama-Coushatta Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Monday, October 23, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston. Texas.

Darren was born September 9, 1962 in Woodville, Texas and passed away October 19, 2023 in Kingwood, Texas. He is preceded in death by brother, Ronald King Obe; son, Tallsun John; mother-in-law, Julia Lowe; grandmothers, Mabel Battise and Nettie Lee Poncho; grandfather, Miller Battise; great grandmother, Mattie Sue Williams; brother-in-law, Clint Poncho; aunts, Mary Obe Williams, Leila Obe Battise, Nellie Marie Sylestine, and Sharon Sue Morris; and uncles Randy Snead, Burke Walker, Milton Redd Williams, and Oscar Landry Williams.

He is survived by his wife, DeRinda Obe; father, Donald John Obe; mother, Anna Lou Obe; daughter, Sequoia Obe; son, Darren Obe Jr.; sister, Yolanda Obe Poncho; aunts, Melinda Lynn Sylestine and husband Don, Jennifer D. Poncho and Wanda Sylestine; uncles, Rodney Poncho and Roland A. Poncho and wife Delores; and nephews, Colden Hawk Poncho and Shaundai Neta Poncho and wife Brittany; along with numerous other loved ones and friends.
