David Ray Armitage

Funeral services for David Ray Armitage, 64, of Shepherd, Texas will be Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Douglas Jackson officiating. Visitation will be Monday, May 18, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

David Ray Armitage (known to family as David Ray and Bubba Ray and just David to Gail) entered this world on 5-3-1962 to parents Harry and Julia Armitage in Pasadena, TX. 

David is survived by his devoted wife, Gail Armitage, step-son Jon Luke Estes and wife Kristin Estes along with grand-daughters Cassidy and Merina Estes whom he affectionately called the little naughties - all of Elkhart, Texas, step-son Brett Austin Estes and girlfriend Beth Hoy of El Paso, TX; sister Dee Ann Armitage Thompson and husband Tim Thompson of Livingston in Providence area; nephew Zach Thompson and wife Ashton and great-niece Tommie Thompson of Livingston in Providence area; niece Jordan Thompson Nelson and husband Ryan Nelson and great-niece Everly Nelson of Livingston in Providence area. David leaves behind a host of cousins that he truly loved and grew up with: Stephanie Dubois, Gaston "Bubba" Nelson, Stacie Carr, Billy Nelson, Jr, Mike Davis, Kim Davis, and Joy Bading . 

Also, included in list of survived loved ones is many of Gail's family: sister-in law Jerri Moseley-Runnels and nephew Jacob Moseley of Huffman, TX, nephew Brad Moseley and wife Candice Moseley and great nephew Grayson Moseley of Conroe, TX, niece Jordan Moseley and nephew to be Devin Solley of Nacogdoches, TX, sister-in-law Charlotte Wolleson and husband Bernard Wolleson, niece Julie Wolleson LeTeff and husband Jason LeTeff, niece Amanda Wolleson Carter and husband James Carter and their children - all of Winnsboro, LA.
