David Allen Bennett, 68, of Houston, Texas was born July 10, 1951 Galveston, Texas, to parents, Charles Allen Bennett and Rosie Bell Lloyd and passed away May 7, 2020 in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents.
David Bennett worked and retired with Lyondell/Bassell Houston Refinery as an Operator spanning 30 years of service. "Deadnutt" as he was affectionately called, worked at the 735 Cooling Tower and Lube Pumping and Blending Operations units. His brother Charles Douglas Bennett (Doug) as a survivor, also worked and retired from Lyondell/Bassell Houston Refinery working in the 536 Crude Still Operations unit.
David was an avid hunter, fisherman, and teller of tall tales. He entertained all with his stories and above all loved to make people laugh - and that he did....all his life!!
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Bennett of Houston, Texas; brothers, Louis Bennett of Kingwood, Texas and Charles Douglas Bennett and Julianne of Onalaska, Texas; nephew, Evan Bennett of Santa Fe, Texas; niece, Karyssa Bennett of Santa Fe, Texas; nephew, William Bennett of League City, Texas; 8 grandchildren; step-children, Sunrise Sanchez, Alfred Sanchez, Melissa Vallejo, Joseph Urias, and Veronica Urias, all from Houston, Texas; along with other family members and numerous friends.
