IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David
Fisk
December 20, 1950 – September 12, 2021
David Lee Fisk left his body to join his savior and parents on September 12 th , 2021. Surrounded by the people who loved him most, David Lee withdrew from the concerns of this world to receive his new body in Christ Jesus.
During his time on earth, he was born to Eddie R. Fisk and Aurora Jo (Nobles) Fisk in Liberty Hill, Texas and attended public school in Texas. Drafted during the Vietnam War, David served in the U.S. Army in the Signal Corps. Upon his discharge, he began an apprenticeship as an electrician and within a short time received his Journeyman's License that provided for his family for several years. David retired medically from the City of College Station where he had operated heavy equipment, but his endless energies wouldn't allow him to sit for long or become homebound. He was not a prolific artist, but David was wonderfully gifted. Friends and family who have one of his drawings will appreciate that they possess a treasure. Most often David was "Helping" his neighbors who were ill or housebound. He delighted in "Being Useful" and refused to accept that his work - related disability was a handicap. David keenly felt that he should do for others who could not do for themselves. The people who were beneficiaries of David's love and efforts number in the hundreds and he did for them without complaint until his health failed him. Preceding David into heaven are his Mother and Father.
David leaves behind his sister Brenda Fisk Willis and husband William, Son John David Fisk, and daughters Debbie, Kim and Leah Louise; Multiple Nieces and Nephews and his beloved companion Labrador Pup, "Dakota II."
Friends who wish to honor David's memory would best honor him by giving GENEROUSLY to The Polk County SPCA and helping their neighbors by "Being Useful."
