Funeral services for David Carson Hon, 85, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Wayne Bickley officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Grove Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Hon was born September 18, 1931 in the Midway Community of Polk County, Texas to parents, Lee Hon and Nova Lee (David) Hon, and passed away June 10, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. During his life, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. David was a member of the Trinity Masonic Lodge and a member of the Forestry Landowners Association. He was a prior member and president of the Leggett ISD School Board as well as a deacon in the Soda Baptist Church. David was also the president of the Center Grove Cemetery Association for 52 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jim Hon.

He is survived by his wife, Flaudie V. Hon of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Cynthia Ruth McMahon of Spokane, Washington; daughter, Karen Elaine Matthews of Conroe, Texas; granddaughter, Amanda Naomi Clark and husband, Daniel of Spokane, Washington; grandson, Travis Glenn Brackin of Conroe, Texas; granddaughter, Shelley Renee Garland and husband, Chad of Mont Belvieu, Texas; great-granddaughter, Delayna Brooke Clark of Spokane, Washington; great-grandson, Anthony Dale Clark of Spokane, Washington; great-grandson, Jackson Bryant Garland of Mont Belvieu, Texas; great-granddaughter, Charlotte Maxine Garland of Mont Belvieu, Texas; sister, Nora Beth McQueen of Livingston, Texas; sister, Barbara Lee Stuckey of Soda, Texas; and sister-in-law, Rita Hon of Livingston, Texas; along with a host of beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, and Soda Baptist church family.
