Tucker Ii
December 30, 1965 – October 28, 2021

David Kern Tucker II was born on December 30, 1965 in Nacogdoches, TX to David and Ada Vee and passed from this earth on October 28, 2021. He is preceded in death by his father. He was commonly asked "where is that accent from"? So now you know…
Kern worked hard all of his life and found a long and fulfilling career in the commercial HVAC field beginning as a field technician and project manager with United Environmental Services and later becoming Vice President of Operations with Automated Logic in San Antonio. He expanded his career joining Trane in 2011 and transferred all of his expertise to Hunton Trane in Houston in 2018 rising to his current position as Vice President of Operations in 2021. Throughout his professional career he focused personally on mentoring his younger colleagues – he expected a lot of them and encouraged them to expect a lot from themselves. He would never ask from them something he wasn't willing to do himself – and often did
Kern had a gentle and generous heart with a fighter's spirit – he was a much-loved son, brother, cousin, husband, uncle and friend. Should you care to make a donation to honor Kern's memory please forward to the charity of your choosing
Kern had a zest for life and a passion for music and reading as well as travel, golf and wine – combining the latter three together with friends whenever he had the chance
All of his life Kern loved nature and animals. He was an avid hunter and spent numerous seasons at the deer lease with his hunting buddies – among whom are his greatest friends
It is not lost on any of us that Kern left us shortly before "opening weekend" of deer season – one of his favorite weekends of the year. His family will find comfort in knowing that many glasses will be raised, and many stories will be told, around campfires this opening weekend and for years to come. Kern will be with all of us in spirit….
He is survived by his wife, Valerie Tucker of Dallas, Texas; mother, Ada Vee Tucker of Spring, Texas; and sister, Dina Hassan of Baytown, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Pallbearers: Henry Pope, Ray Pope, Anthony Page, Matthew Page, Gregg Pope, J.J. Lovelace
