August 12, 1915 - January 10, 2013
D.E. ""Spec"" Roberts, age 97 of Houston, Texas, passed away on January 10, 2013, in Livingston, Texas. He was born on August 12, 1915, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to parents, Thomas Jennings and Lodie Lee Roberts.
D.E. is preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Elsie Roberts; brothers, Richard, Hubert, Kenneth, Charles, and Fred; sisters, Tommie Williams and Betty Pitman. He is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Don and Dixie Roberts, of Houston, Texas; sisters-in-law, Shelly Nesloney, of Houston, Texas, Verline Roberts, of Etoile, Texas, Alma Roberts, of New Caney Texas, Barbara Roberts, of Nacogdoches, Texas; brother-in-law, John Pitman, of Lufkin, Texas; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 14, 2013, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Dr. James Frazier will conduct the services. Pallbearers are Todd Roberts, Sr., Jay Roberts, Reid Roberts, Aubrey Brown, Tommy Pitman and Ron Price. Internment will follow the service at Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM until service time on Monday.
