Funeral services for Deborah Kay Smith, 68, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Monday, January 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Livingston, Texas with Pastor James Mayland officiating. Interment will be held in the Strong Cemetery in Shelbyville, Texas at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2019 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mrs. Smith was born August 23, 1950 in Dallas, Texas, to parents, Hebert Merriman and Alma (McBride) Merriman, and passed away on January 1, 2019 in Kingwood, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Smith of Livingston, Texas; son, Brandon Smith of Houston, Texas; daughter, Buffy Sundstrom and husband, David of Kemp, Texas; daughter, Bobbie Baxter and husband, John of New Hope, Kentucky; daughter, Cheryl Holly and husband, Harvey of Kaufman, Texas; daughter, Jamie Powers of Kaufman, Texas; sister, Maxine Newcomb of Wolf City, Texas; brother, Louis Merriman and wife, Dora of Mabank, Texas; sister, Francine Merriman of Alba, Texas; mother-in-law, Jonell Smith of Livingston, Texas; sister-in-law, Mary Gilger and husband, Troy of San Saba, Texas; sister-in-law, Carol Vohl of Livingston, Texas; niece, Donna Durr and husband, Tracy of Livingston, Texas; niece, Michelle Lyon and husband, Ron of San Leon, Texas; nephew, Kevin Wheat and wife, Norma of Livingston, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and best friend, Gloria Barrett and husband, Dewayne of Livingston, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
