Funeral services for Deborah Sylestine, 69, of Livingston, Texas will be held Friday, June 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Indian Presbyterian Church in Livingston, Texas with Debra Battise-Kleinman, CRE officiating. Interment will follow at the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. A wake will be held Thursday, June 18, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the church.
Deborah, who graduated from Kirby High School, was born March 16, 1957, in Livingston, Texas and passed away June 15, 2026, in The Woodlands, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Taylor Sylestine and Edna Faye Battise Sylestine; brother, Ronald Sylestine; sister-in-law, Melinda Sylestine; and brother-in-law, Larry Langley.
She is survived by her husband, Amon Sylestine of Livingston, Texas; son, Travis Sylestine and Shelley of Houston, Texas; daughters, Tanisha Sylestine and Christopher, and Debrina Sylestine and Arthur Jr., all of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Aiden Sylestine, Alexander Sylestine, Adrian Avila, Dreston Sylestine-Dirden, and Kalila Sylestine-Dirden; sister, Terrah Langley of Livingston, Texas; brother, Dedera Don Sylestine of Livingston, Texas; coworker of almost 37 years, Peggy Williams; and special friends, Ben and Arlene Thompson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers: Danny Renfro, Landon Segura, Lance Battise, Dee Ray Pittman, Second Chief Herb Johnson Jr., Julian Sylestine, and Kirk Sylestine.
Honorary Pallbearer: Principal Chief Donnis Battise.
