Funeral services for Deloris Odean Johnson, 75, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, May 31, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Elder Debra Battise Kleinman CRE officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 30, 2020, at 6:00 p.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mrs. Johnson was born March 9, 1945 in Livingston, Texas, to parents, Amos Sylestine and Ella (Battise) Sylestine, and passed away May 27, 2020 in Kingwood, Texas. Deloris was a long time member of the Indian Presbyterian Church and was also an elder in the church. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lowell Sylestine and Gordon Sylestine; sisters, Janie Battise and Delbra Sylestine; and grandson, Willis Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert Johnson Sr.; son, Davie Johnson; daughter, Retha Johnson; son, Delbert Johnson; son and daughter-in-law, Herbert Johnson Jr. and Victoria; daughter and son-in-law, Heather Johnson Battise and Patrick; special daughter, Blanche Thompson; sister, Beryl Battise; brother and sister-in-law, Amon Sylestine and Deborah; grandchildren, Jackson Langley, Camille Johnson, Raegan Battise, Aaliyah Johnson, Stormi Johnson, Jean Carlo Guerrero, and Rainy Attocknie; brother-in-law and wife, Austin Johnson and Abilene; sister-in-law, Darlene Williams; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Indian Presbyterian Church, 1072 Colabe Rd., Livingston, Texas 77351.
