Deltrice “Corine” Meadows Abbott, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born on May 18, 1937, to Wiley Theodore Meadows and Eller Beatrice (Price) Meadows. She peacefully passed away at her home in Leggett, Texas, on March 15, 2026.
Corine graduated from Leggett High School in 1956 and, in that same year, married the love of her life, Earl “EG” Abbott. Together they built a life rooted in love, family, and unwavering devotion. Corine embraced many roles throughout her life and excelled in each one with grace and strength. She retired from VF Factory Outlet after years of dedicated service.
Above all, Corine cherished her family. She was a constant source of love, wisdom, and support, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who knew her.
She is lovingly survived by her son, Wade Abbott and wife Caroline of Huntsville, Texas; daughter, Dawana Abbott Armentrout of Leggett, Texas; and bonus children, Roland Davidson and Mark Hubbard.
Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Lori Alberson and husband Chris; Andrea Abbott; Robert Armentrout and wife Bonnie; Jeremy Abbott and wife Lauren; William Armentrout and fiancée Krystal; Nikolas Abbott; Chloe Abbott; and Randa Fleming and husband Dakin; and great-grandchildren, Braydon, Logan, Brianna, Henry, Ashlynn, Jaxen, Arianna, Ryleigh, Keara, Michael, William, Lauryn, Asia, Kensley, Dalia, Aeron, Rylynn, and Riley.
Corine is further survived by her sisters, Dolly Martone, Annetta Bonds, and Daphene Placker, along with numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom were dearly loved by “Aunt Coco.”
She was preceded in death by her parents; devoted husband, Earl “EG” Abbott; brothers, W.T. Meadows, Bill Meadows, and Walden Meadows; and sisters, Dorothy Shockley and Deloris McCarty.
Funeral services will be held March 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Brother Harold Isaacs officiating. Graveside services will follow at Jones Prairie Cemetery in Leggett, Texas, with honorary officiants Mark Hubbard and Joe Smith. Visitation will be held March 27, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Abbott, Nikolas Abbott, Robert Armentrout, William Armentrout, Christopher Alberson, and Corie Helmer.
The family invites you to join them in celebration following graveside services.
Corine’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and devotion to family. Her memory will forever be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
