Graveside services for Derek Richmond Smallwood, 42, of Houston, Texas, will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas with Rev. Toni Atkinson officiating.
Mr. Smallwood was born December 1, 1972 in Houston, Texas to parents, Rick Smallwood and Beverly Denise (Collier) Burkholder, and passed away May 16, 2015 in Cypress, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Helen and Charles Smallwood, and J.D. Collier.
He is survived by his daughter, Kaitlynn Smallwood of Cordell, Oklahoma; sister, Jennifer Mangum of Cypress, Texas; mother and stepfather, Beverly Denise Burkholder and Gaylon Burkholder of Cypress, Texas; grandmother, Myrtle Fordyce of Cypress, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
