Dessel Mae Simpson Fenter, born on September 13, 1926, left this world for her home in Glory on October 8, 2021 at the age of 95.

She was born and raised in Arkansas, living in Bills Town until she married her love, J.C. Fenter. Dessel and J.C. (John Charles) went to school together from elementary through high school. They married on December 23, 1944.   J.C. went off to World War II, but upon his return they moved to Brookhaven Mississippi where J.C. worked the oil fields for several years.   They moved to South Houston, Texas with two children in tow.  J.C. worked various industrial plants; Dessel made a home. They continued to live in the Houston area until they retired from full to part time work.  They built a home place at Wilson Lake, Livingston, Texas. Later, they built their home in Pine Valley Estates, where they lived for approximately 30 years.

Dessel was a true "Servant of God", spending her whole life taking in people or relatives from Arkansas when they needed a place to stay for a while. She lived the word "Stretch" so that everyone in her care never went hungry. She was a giving, sharing and caring person until Dementia started to rule her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Grace Simpson, her Sister's, Veda Simpson, Roberta Blanchard, Jo Reda Gremillion, her brother's, Baby boy Simpson, Gene Simpson and her granddaughter Charlene Fenter.

She left a loving family behind; Linda Ohm (daughter), Charles Fenter (son) and wife Connie, brother, Elvin Simpson and wife Linda, Grandchildren Wendy Ohm, Amber Hill and husband Jon, Jessica Templeman and husband Shane and Brandi Rosales. Great grandchildren, Brandon Williams and Ashley May and husband James; along with great great grandchildren, Neveah Wheeler,  Faith Templeman, James, A'zarey, Rudi, Zoe May, Evan, Ein and Ryan Rosales, Brancie and Sieden Williams, along many nieces and nephews.

Dessel was a great Christian example for her friends, neighbors and her family.  She is as rest in the arms of her Lord.
