She supported numerous other civic organization over the years including the Rotary Club, Cancer Society, and Safehouse. Most of all, she supported the youth of Polk County and was affectionately known as "Momma Thiel" to a whole generation of young people.
Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Milton D. Thiel, D.V.M. of Livingston and her children, Pamela Marie Thiel of Livingston; Milton "Chip" Thiel, Jr. and wife Stephanie of Sugar Land; daughter, Mary Diane Thiel Luedeker and husband Lyle of Georgetown. Dianna's pride and joys were her grandchildren, Dylan Walker Thiel, Hayden Paul Collins, Scotlyn Rae Thiel, Milton "Tripp" Thiel, III, and Joslyn Mae Thiel, William Thiel Luedeker and Lane August Luedeker. She is also survived by her sister Mary McGee Parrish and husband Jerry of Livingston; sister Tammy McGee Nesmith of Seagoville; sister-in-law, Elna Brune and husband Leebert of New Ulm; brother-in-law, George Thiel and wife Betty of Welcome; along with many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, loved ones she cared for over the years and Arena Veterinary Clinic family and friends.
Dianna is preceded in death by her parents, Pansy and E.S. "Buddy" McGee and Al Kramer, and parents-in-law Augusta Mary and Ernest William Thiel.
