Funeral services for Dolores May Boddie, 88, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Tim Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. Dolores Smith Boddie, 88, of Livingston Texas was born February 9, 1932 in Los Angeles, California. She went to be with Jesus on February 2, 2021 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis M. Boddie. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Jackson and husband Stonewall of Livingston; her sons, Dennis Connors and wife, Sara of San Diego, Travis Boddie and wife, Kim of Thayer Mo., Doyle Boddie of Livingston, Dicky Boddie and wife, Sheri of Livingston; grandchildren, Kelly King and husband, Danny, Kerri Kelly and husband, Stephen, Stony Jackson and wife, Chandra, Jason Connors, Brittney Kinne and husband, Ben, Jessica McComas and husband, Tim, Bryce Boddie, Crystal Ennis and husband, Michael, Shane Boddie, Seth Boddie, Ashley Whitelock and husband, Korey, David Boddie, Heather Parker, Keri Downing and husband, Jason, Allison Ogden and husband, Donnie, Jay Boddie, Laura Carroll and husband, Andrew, Kristopher Boddie, Matthew Boddie and wife, Kristin, Aaron Boddie and wife, Paige; 46 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Things Mom Enjoyed:
~ Teaching children's Sunday School and how much Jesus loves them
~ Growing roses, always needs weeding
~ Crocheting blankets for friends and family, finger joints complaining
~ Telling loved ones how much she loves Jesus
~ Pans of cinnamon rolls, no calories, just love
~ Taking care of grandbabies, always yummy snacks
~ Singing in church choir, or a nervous solo
~ Sharing with strangers in grocery store how much Jesus loves them
~ Moving furniture, over, and over and over
~ Red bird collection, how high can you count?
~ Sitting on her front porch as the sun comes up, hot coffee, reading her Bible, where she learned to love her Jesus.
