Funeral services for Dolores Martha Opela, 96, of Katy, Texas will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mrs. Opela was born February 9, 1930, in Schulenburg, Texas and passed away June 24, 2026, in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benedict Opela; and daughters, Shirley Creighton and Ann Walker.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Hochman; son, Anthony Opela; daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Donald O’Neil; daughter, Barbie Hayes; daughter, Theresa Bradford; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
