Funeral services for Donald Charles "Chuck" Belt, 70, of Onalaska, Texas will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Bro. Steve Waldrep officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. before the service begins.

Chuck was born March 22, 1951 in Mt. Clements, Michigan, to parents, Donald Hinzman Belt and Rosalie (Dodt) Belt and passed away December 14, 2021 in Onalaska, Texas. He was the middle son of 5 boys. Chuck moved to Texas from Michigan in October 1989. He would tell people he was a Texan because he loved Texas so much. Chuck also loved the Lord, his family and of course, his friends. They loved him just as much and he will be missed by all. Chuck proudly served his country as a Private First Class in the U.S. Army from July 1971 to August 1973. He retired as the Chief Engineer at Bank of America. It was a job he did well and loved to do. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Jennifer Christopoulos, Christy Belt, and Tiphany Belt; and brothers, Tom Belt and Gary Belt.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Verna Belt of Onalaska, Texas; brothers, Gordon Belt and George Belt both of Texas; granddaughters, Codean Belt and Madelynn Duke both of Michigan; step-sons, Joe Goolsby and wife, Mandy, and Casey Williams and wife, Joaney; step-granddaughter, Alyssa Williams; step-grandson, Karter Williams; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends throughout Michigan and Texas.
