Donald Eugene LaPlant age 56 of Trinity passed away Monday April 19, 2010 at his residence. Graveside services will be held 10:00AM Thursday April 22, 2010 in Brookside Cemetery in Houston with Connye Roberson officiating.

Donald was born March 25, 1954 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to parents William Gordon LaPlant and Kathleen Wilson LaPlant. He worked for many years as a master mechanic. He is preceded in death by his wife Carol LaPlant, sister Wanda Owen, niece Christina Danielson, and step father Bruce Taylor.

He is survived by his son Chris LaPlant of College Station, mother Kathleen Taylor of Trinity, sisters Judy Rigler of Borger, Carrie Bowman of Cypress, and grandchildren Heather LaPlant of Borger, Ashlei LaPlant of Montgomery, Sydnee McGee of College Station, Brandon LaPlant of College Station. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Chad Owen, Stacey Williams, Eric Shepherd, Corey Bowman-Stavinoha, Bailey Klentzman, Herby Kidd, Carley Bowman, Hayley Owen, Brianna Ward, Jude Shepherd, Elisa Bowman-Stavinoha, Riley Walden,and Hannah Walden.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Owen, Eric Shepherd, Corey Stavinoha-Bowman, Herby Kidd, Mark Klentzman, and Reggie Williams.
