Obituary
Mr. Newby was born on August 4, 1937 in Groesbeck, Texas to parents, Luther Brown Newby and Annie Lela (Pate) Newby and passed away on August 17, 2015 in Lufkin, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Robert Wayne Lovelady and Rodney Newby; daughter, Donna Lynn Newby; brother, O.D. "Buddy" Newby; and sister, Mary Doretha Hobbs.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Newby of Livingston, Texas; son, James Donovan Lovelady Sr. and Sarah of Houston, Texas; daughter, Rhonda Hollenberg of Galveston, Texas; son, Donald Glen Newby Jr. and Jennifer of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, James "Jay" Lovelady Jr., Kevin Wayne Lovelady, Sabrina Elizabeth Hollenberg, Donald "Tre" Glen Newby III, and Kayla Shae Newby; sister and brother-in-law, Sue Hilton and Ronald of Montgomery; sister-in-law, Ruby L. Newby; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
