Funeral services for Doris Maxine Woods, 95, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Big Sandy Baptist Church in Big Sandy, Texas with Dr. Fred Alford and Sharon Alford officiating. Interment will follow in the Big Sandy Cemetery in Big Sandy, Texas. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the service begins at 2:00 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Woods was born on February 20, 1923 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to parents, George McMillian and Vina (Howard) McMillian, and passed away on January 1, 2019 in Conroe, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Chester Stanford and Wallace Woods; and children, Howard Stanford and Roy Stanford Sr.

She is survived by her grandsons, Roy Stanford Jr. of Crandall, Texas, Brett Stanford of Round Rock, Texas, Ben Stanford of Angleton, Texas and Chet Stanford and wife, Christine of Kennard, Texas; granddaughters, Kendra Stanford of Willis, Texas; and Lisa McCauley and Brian of Houston, Texas; great-grandchildren, Kara Mathis, Trey Stanford, Daniel Stanford, Catelyn Stanford, Chance Stanford, Chloe Stanford, Madison Stanford, Jonathan Stanford, Kayle McCauley, Madeline McCauley, and Caleb McCauley; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
