Memorial services for Doris Reeves Spears, 90, of Groveton, Texas, will be held Monday, October 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Chuck McLaurin officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, October 15, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until the service begins at 2:00 p.m.

Mrs. Spears was born on January 10, 1928 in Pelly, Texas to parents, Rennie Reeves and Ida (Crowson) Reeves, and passed away October 12, 2018 in Lufkin, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Renny "Bubba" Reeves and Teddy Lee Hance; brothers, Okay Reeves, Leonard Reeves, and J.D. Reeves; sister, Blanche Reeves; brothers-in-law, George Brooks and Delbert Courtney; and Glen Hance.

She is survived by her daughters, Shelia Smith of Chester, Texas; Audrey "Honey" Carrico and husband, David of Groveton, Texas, and Wanda Collum of Livingston, Texas; sons, Ed Hance and wife, Patsy of Wakefield, Texas, and Cecil Hance and wife, Sherry of Corrigan, Texas; sisters, Iva Bell Brook of Livingston, Texas, and Lottie Mae Courtney of Corrigan, Texas; grandchildren, Matt Hance, Joshua Duncan, Amy Blair, Jeremy Carrico and wife, Cindy, Niki Park and husband, Tommy, Buck Hance and wife, Cacey, Sherry Burns and husband, Heath, Jaime Lambert and husband, Robert, Jennifer Black, Amanda Hank, Wyndall Hance Thompson, Lyndall Hance Thompson, Brettny Puryear and husband, Kevin, and Scooter and wife, Melissa; along with a total of 50 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
