Funeral services for Doris Sarah Summers, 94, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 28, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Rod Averitt officiating. Visitation will be held just prior to service time Friday, beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow the services at Mt. Rose Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.

Mrs. Summers was born on November 17, 1919 in El Campo, Texas and passed away on March 26, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. She married Marion Edgar Summers on September 11, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas and later worked as a school counselor for Austin I.S.D. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Anna (Waugh) Glazner; husband, Marion Summers; brother, Robert Glazner.

She is survived by her sons, David Ray Summers of Mesquite, Texas, Don Robert Summers of Palestine, Texas, and Ted Eugene Summers of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Betty Jean King of Rosanky, Texas; brothers, Max W. Glazner of Dickinson, Texas, Dan R. Glazner of Victoria, Texas, Edgar Ross Glazner of Pearsall, Texas; sister, Cora Anderson of Fredericksburg, Texas; grandchildren, Quince, Lori, Christie, Shane, Tegan, Dustin, Ryan, Kathy, Peggy, Charlie; along with numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
