Funeral services for Dorothy L. Gibson, 79, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Rev. Sean Ferry officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time, in the Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas.

Mrs. Gibson was born November 29, 1938 in Palestine, Texas to parents, Willie Paul Locke and Helen Maurine (Jones) Locke and passed away March 11, 2018 in Livingston, Texas. She retired from the Onalaska Water & Gas Company and was a director for the company before she worked there. She started the Onalaska Chamber of Commerce, was a member of the Onalaska Historical Society, and a lifetime member of the Onalaska Fire Department. Dorothy and her husband developed Twin Harbors. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nancy Smith; and husband, Tony L. Gibson.

She is survived by her special friend, Gairee Brown of Onalaska, Texas; daughter, Sherron Boswell of Huntsville, Texas; granddaughters, Kaitlin Boswell of Huntsville, Texas and Chrissy Lawlis of College Station, Texas; great grandson, Aiden Lawlis of College Station, Texas; sister, Margaret Alford of Onalaska, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Connie Wood of Onalaska, Texas; sister, Carol Jean Locke of Onalaska, Texas; sister, Lois Byrne of New Braunfels, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Willie Paul Jr. and Brenda Locke of Canyon Lake, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pine Forest Baptist Church Building Fund.
